The purging tool is used to re-heat the attachment. It forces the bond to reach a specified temperature, which forces the moisture out of the adhesive and creates a sponge effect allowing the adherence of the client’s hair to the extension hair without shedding. The purging tool should be used until all bubbling of the moisture is expelled out of the adhesive. The procedure must be repeated for each attachment.
